About Me

I grew up in the small town of Iligan City, situated ~800 kilometers south of the Philippines' capital. Iligan city is dubbed as the "City of Majestic Waterfalls" as we have one of the best waterfalls in the country. It is also where I spent my formative years. In 2002, I moved to Quezon City to study Computer Engineering at the University of the Philippines.

I got my first taste of computer organization design in college when I did an RTL design of a toy instruction set. I became more interested in computers and after I obtained my bachelor's degree in 2007, I immediately started graduate studies in the same university.
In fall of 2010, I joined Utah State University's Electrical and Computer Engineering department where I am currently doing research in Computer Architecture and VLSI.
